Who I am.

Inspired by Jackson Pollock, Gerhard Richter and Sam Francis, I live and work in Düsseldorf, a medium sized city in west Germany where Gerhard Richter used to be professor for painting at the Düsseldorf Art Academy.

I did not study at this academy, nor have I been studying art at another place. I’d rather describe myself as an autodidact that found his way into the art world one day.

On top of that, you will not find many further information about me. And that is a conscious decision as I want you to focus on my art. Not me.

What I do.

I work with several acrylic layers on top of each other, which give the artworks a high color diversity and strong haptics. Depending on the incidence of light, this creates different shadows that give the artwork a new way of expressing itself over and over again.

The most important thing for me is: Balance. I am not satisfied with an artwork before a perfect symbiosis of colours, structures, lights and shadows has formed.

Every single artwork is unique and (so far) not available as prints.

Where to find my art.

I started painting in 2019 with almost all art exhibitions, galleries and events being closed due to COVID-19. Most of my artworks you will therefore only find online or in virtual settings.

One exception is Sublime Stages, a newly opened showroom at Kitzbühel, Austria, where my art is / was exhibited until January 31st 2022.
